Blood Orange Mojito
This delicious mojito makes use of seasonal blood oranges, for a refreshing and easy homemade cocktail! Other types of orange can be used when blood orange is not available.
While the majority of football viewers will be drinking beer, you can’t forget about the group of (mostly) ladies in the other room. I rarely drink but when I do, mojitos are my drink of choice. It’s such a refreshing, clean drink that’s bubbly, minty, and citrusy, and it’s easy to put together. With all the gorgeous blood oranges in season right now, you can make this fancy pants mojito and have everyone oooing and ahhhing, because blood oranges just seem to jazz up everything they touch. Here’s how:
Place blood orange segments and fresh mint into a glass.
Muddle (if you don’t have a muddler use a strong spoon) to release the blood orange juice and the flavors in the mint. Add 1 shot of rum to the glass:
Fill the glass with ice, and add simple syrup to taste. Fill the glass almost to the top with club soda, and garnish with extra mint.

This drink looks and tastes so much better than beer-better plan on less beer and more mojitos on game day. Very refreshing!
After seeing this, I would think that you may need to make more than originally planned for Super Bowl weekend. The guys may want to have these instead of beer or in addition to! To me, there is no question on which looks as well as tastes better. Very refreshing!
Great fancy mojito! I would for sure drink this while “watching” the game!
I love mojitos >.< and this one is so pretty! I'm sure the beer will be bought on game day but I have already secretly started buying things for my mojitos and amaretto sours hehehe
I start feeling dirsty, and it’s hot here…but I’m at work…I can’t wait to go home and have one.
