You can think of this as a fluffed ice/kiwi granita.
It’s so simple to make, and I love how all the fluffy little kiwi ice crystals melt on your tongue.
I can’t think of anything more refreshing on a hot day.
Fluffed Kiwi Ice
This Kiwi Ice is a refreshing treat for a hot summer day, and very easy to make. As the fluffy ice crystals melt, they give tons of bright fresh kiwi flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 kiwis
- 1/4 cup sugar may need to be adjusted depending on sweetness of kiwis
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Slice each kiwi in half and use a spoon to dig the flesh out of each kiwi. Place the kiwi flesh in a food processor, and add the rest of the ingredients. Pulse until smooth.
- Pour the liquid into a 9×13 baking dish (or even a sheet pan if you can get it into your freezer) and place it in the freezer. Every 15-30 minutes, use a fork to break up the ice crystals and fluff the ice. It should take about 2 hours for the mixture to freeze completely. Once frozen, serve in dishes and enjoy!

Hi Jessyka, I’m so glad you and your kids loved this dish! It is so easy to do and very refreshing for summer!
Weird question but do you like the kiwi skins? Most people I know cut/peel them off. I never have- it doesn’t bother me lol! I bet these would be cute served in hollowed out halves of kiwis- but then again, the skin might gross normal people out? Ha! 🙂 Either way, this looks amazing! And so unique.
I love it. Finally the kiwi gets its day.
Love the black seeds – makes it pretty! This sounds unique, refreshing and wonderful!
