5-Minute Hot Fudge Sauce

You can make this hot fudge sauce in the time it takes to soften ice cream from the freezer! It only takes 5 minutes to cook and uses simple ingredients.

  • 4 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring constantly, until the butter is melted, about 2 minutes.
  • Turn heat down to medium low and simmer for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Let the fudge sauce cool for at least 5 minutes, until warm, then it’s ready to drizzle over ice cream!


Makes 1 cup of sauce.
